Overview

The comprehensive refurbishment and expansion of BAFTA’s Grade II listed headquarters at Piccadilly includes the raising and re-integration of two large Victorian rooflights and decorative plasterwork to create a new top floor which will serve as a members’ area. These stunning features, previously hidden for 40 years, have been restored to their original grandeur. The Princess Anne Theatre is being upgraded to create an unparalleled theatre experience and is complemented by a new 49-seater cinema with both spaces including state-of-the-art audio technology.

The new space will enhance BAFTA’s international identify as a centre of excellence for motion and picture arts, as well as generating extra revenue to ensure long-term financial sustainability for the charity.
