Fantastic news that @xandwhyspace‘s workspace at @ardingandhobbsclapham has been crowned as Best Workspace of 2025 at The Tallys Awards, recognising its inspiring design and community-driven approach. With this in mind, we cast our minds back to the redevelopment of Arding & Hobbs, Clapham Junction with @w.relondon, transforming this iconic former department store into a vibrant mixed-use destination that celebrates both its heritage and its future.
Today, the restored building is home to retail and leisure on the lower floors, including @thirdspacelondon, @botanicahall, and @prezzemoloevitaleuk, with flexible office space by X and Whyspace on the upper levels.
This project exemplifies what’s possible when craft, collaboration and sustainability come together, breathing new life into one of South West London’s most recognisable landmarks.
