Naturally, our business is completely reliant on the performance and quality of our staff and we are very proud of how determined they are and what they have achieved.

Directors

Knight Harwood’s five board directors (John Knight, Oliver Driscoll, Ian Harwood, Tim Whittaker, Danny Wridgway and Charlie Everett) have oversight of the business as a whole and are closely involved in the delivery of our projects. Each of our directors is intensely client and project focused and are totally committed to the wellbeing of our staff and the success of the professional and supplier teams we work with.

John Knight

Chairman
John began his career serving a joinery apprenticeship before going onto graduate with a BSc (Hons) degree in Construction Management. He spent twenty years at Bovis Construction Ltd and ISG in the field of project management and rose to the position of managing director. During his career, John has been fortunate enough to spend stints overseas including Osaka, Japan and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This has helped to form his rounded understanding of different cultures and ways of working. John founded Knight Harwood in 2005 with Ian Harwood. His objective, along with the directors, has always been to ensure the business provides a first-class service to our clients and this still remains his focus on a day to day basis.
Oliver Driscoll

Oliver Driscoll

Managing Director
Oliver joined Knight Harwood in 2007 and progressed through the business before joining the board of directors in 2017. He has a wealth of experience across all sectors of the market and is focused in equal measure on both the commercial and operational delivery aspects of projects. In 2024, Oliver was appointed Managing Director. His priorities include focusing on Knight Harwood's clients and staff, ensuring that projects are consistently delivered to the highest quality standards, and furthering the continued professional development of our staff. Additionally, he is dedicated to enhancing the business's brand and reputation. Oliver started his career at Taylor Woodrow Construction after graduating from Reading University with a BSc Degree in Construction Management and Quantity Surveying. During this period, he was involved in number of large-scale building and civil engineering projects.    
Ian Harwood

Ian Harwood

Director
Whilst studying for a BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying, Ian started his career at Bovis Construction Ltd, where he remained for ten years. Ian went onto join ISG’s £150M refurbishment division where he moved from financial to project management, eventually becoming the managing director of this successful and dynamic part of the business. In 2005, Ian founded Knight Harwood alongside his colleague of 20 years, John Knight. Ian’s skills are wide ranging and aside from his day-to-day role in running the business and overseeing the financial aspects of Knight Harwood, he also thoroughly enjoys being close to the delivery of projects and seeing them being successfully delivered and closed out.
Tim Whittaker

Tim Whittaker

Director
Tim was one of Knight Harwood’s early founding directors, responsible for the construction delivery of all projects. In the years that have followed, he has spearheaded the company’s focus on certainty of delivery, quality and health and safety. When Tim joined the construction industry, his initial focus was on civil engineering projects with major contractors such as Kier. This created the platform for one of his main strengths: constructing new buildings and the structural remodelling of existing buildings, which often entail a significant element of demolition and temporary works. Tim went on to spend twelve years at ISG, where he worked closely alongside John Knight and Ian Harwood and was responsible for delivering a wide variety of projects across many sectors, including retail, office, residential and hospitality.
Danny Wridgway

Danny Wridgway

Commercial Director
Danny has a wealth of experience across all sectors of the market, with a clear focus on delivering the best value for our clients in terms of both commercial and operational delivery. He is responsible for all commercial and contractual matters within the business, including overseeing all projects from inception through to delivery and closeout. Along with all of the Knight Harwood board of directors, Danny aspires for Knight Harwood to be the best contractor in London. He takes great pride in delivering excellent projects for our clients whilst also enhancing the business’s brand and reputation. Danny takes an active role in the continued professional development of all our commercial staff and enforces the ethos of collaboration and client focus with a can-do approach. Before joining Knight Harwood, Danny developed his career at BAM Construction after graduating from Loughborough University with a BSc Degree in Commercial Management and Quantity Surveying.
Charlie Everett

Charlie Everett

Finance Director
Charlie joined Knight Harwood in 2022 and, two years later, was appointed to the board as Finance Director. In this role, Charlie oversees all aspects of finance and treasury, guiding the company’s financial strategy. Additionally, Charlie manages the HR and IT departments, ensuring seamless operations across these critical areas. Passionate about fostering a culture of continuous improvement and exceeding expectations, Charlie is dedicated to helping Knight Harwood achieve its goals through high-quality, concise, and efficient financial reporting. Before joining Knight Harwood, Charlie began his career at McLaren Construction, where he earned his Chartered Accountancy in 2017. Over 12 years at McLaren, he advanced through the ranks, ultimately leading the finance team as Financial Controller in his final years there.
