Our Design Management Team recently got together at Knight Harwood’s Grain House project. Karen, Darren, Ollie and Ryan tend to get involved in Knight Harwood’s larger and more complex projects or some smaller schemes with a particularly challenging design facet that needs unlocking. They are such an important team in our business and their input is always crucial and invaluable.
The core of design management is naturally centred on ensuring the right level of good quality and properly coordinated information is issued by all the relevant parties. The design management team are involved in the key areas of winning work, programme, procurement, buildability, cost effectiveness and meeting regulatory requirements such as the building regulations and other targets such as BREEAM. They guarantee that all of these targets are covered, and this is delivered in conjunction with the Knight Harwood team, the Client, consultants and supply chain.
